Following on from the cycling aid, a gripping aid was made for the same client to allow the holding of hand tools at home and in the workplace.
A grip based on the design of a "machine vice" was created from aluminium channel and angle. This was attached to the wrist brace via a pivot which can be locked in place at 45 degree intervals using an adapted door bolt. Dycem anti-slip self adhesive strip lines the jaws for improved grip. Capacity of the jaws is approx 40mm.
